Founder & DeveloperI built CalcsVault out of genuine frustration: too many calculator sites are cluttered with ads, demand sign-ups, or give wrong results for Islamic finance calculations. I wanted one clean, fast, honest place for every calculation that matters, whether you're a student checking your GPA, a trader sizing a forex position, or a Muslim calculating Zakat on your savings.
CalcsVault is built and maintained by me from Pakistan. Every Islamic calculator follows the AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) Shariah Standards, the leading international standard-setting body for Islamic finance, whose standards are adopted by financial institutions in over 45 countries. Zakat calculations follow AAOIFI Shariah Standard No. 35; Murabaha follows Standard No. 8. Health calculators use formulas published by the World Health Organization. CalcsVault is a calculation tool, not a fatwa council or medical authority, always consult a qualified scholar or healthcare provider for guidance on your personal situation. Everything on the site is completely free, no exceptions.
How We Calculate
Formulas follow AAOIFI Shariah Standards, the international benchmark adopted by Islamic financial institutions in over 45 countries. Zakat follows Standard No. 35; Murabaha follows Standard No. 8. Nisab threshold uses the current gold and silver spot prices.
BMI uses the World Health Organization classification table. BMR uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the formula recommended by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Body fat percentage uses the US Navy circumference method.
Loan and mortgage formulas use the standard reducing-balance amortisation method. Compound interest uses the standard A = P(1 + r/n)^nt formula as defined in financial mathematics textbooks.
Pip value and lot size formulas follow standard retail forex conventions as documented by brokers such as IC Markets and the CMC Markets education centre. Risk/reward and position sizing follow the Kelly Criterion and fixed-percentage risk management approaches widely taught in trading education.
